Kim and Greg both went to Virginia Tech, but their paths never crossed while they were there. Later on they were introduced to each other by mutual friends and the rest was history! These two LOVE to travel together and were getting ready to leave for a trip to Dubai when Greg popped the question! Kim was totally shocked while she was worrying about getting ready to leave for their trip. It was right after Easter weekend and they had done an egg hunt at their house with their niece and nephew- Greg said he found another egg they must of missed, but inside there was Kim’s beautiful engagement ring! Kim said yes of course with tears in her eyes! It was so special that Greg proposed in the beautiful home they built together!
Stone Tower Winery October Wedding
For the big day they chose a beautiful color palette of navy, dark grey, and ivory. Kim and Greg love to celebrate and opted to have a first look so that they could get the party started post ceremony! We had perfect fall weather while overlooking the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains at Stone Tower. Stone Tower is one of my all time favorite venues! The backdrop of the mountains is absolutely breathtaking and the property is covered in gorgeous photo and ceremony spots.
Kim and Greg got married at the top of the hill next to the vines surrounded by their family and friends. We got the opportunity to shoot beautiful sunset portraits post ceremony, then it was party time! The reception was so beautiful and so much fun! During Greg and Kim’s first dance the sun was dipping below the horizon in the background creating the most beautiful first dance shots. The day was finished off with great speeches, good wine, and LOTS of dancing!
Congratulations Kim and Greg! You are such wonderful people and I am so thankful that I was able to be a part of your big day!
