Heather and Corey had a gorgeous October Glen Ellen Farm wedding day that was so special! These two have been together for a few years now, so finally being able to tie the knot was really exciting to them both! Corey asked Heather to marry them while they were on a trip to the beach and she obviously said yes! Shortly after, they purchased a home together (that was actually where Corey grew up!) and they started planning this incredible day. When I met them for their Hampton Mansion engagement shoot, I knew that they were going to have a beautiful wedding day – and I was right!
Heather and Corey planned a stunning day at Glen Ellen Farm in Ijamsville, MD to celebrate their nuptials. We lucked out with a truly beautiful October day to celebrate the new Mr. and Mrs. Byers. Their day was classic with gorgeous details throughout their outdoor ceremony and tented reception that helped bring their day together.
After getting ready, Heather had a first look with her bridesmaids and her dad before seeing Corey for the first time. If you haven’t thought about doing a bridesmaids first look, I definitely encourage you to think about it! They’re so fun and it’s a great way to see everyone’s reactions to you as a bride!!!! Heather and Corey actually wrote private and personal vows for each other, but didn’t want to share them at their ceremony. Instead, standing back-to-back, they read each other their vows. I think everyone, including myself, was crying! They were SO sweet!!!
After the first looks were over, we finished up some of the bridal party portraits and headed to the ceremony. Glen Ellen Farm has the most beautiful spot for ceremonies right outside, and Heather and Corey’s was perfect. I loved the fun arbor they had! It was classic, yet modern – what a neat idea. Before the reception really got underway, Heather and Corey were gifted the most beautiful sunset we could have imagined. Of course, I brought them both out into the fields for some portraits!! They turned out to be some of my favorites from the day!
I didn’t keep them from the party too long, though! We headed back into the tent for more dancing and delicious donuts. Just wait until you see the fun donut wall Heather and Corey had… which, by the way, they MADE THEMSELVES! Heather is an incredible calligrapher and she also made all of the signs you’ll see through the day! After the sun went down, they ended their night with a sparkler exit. It was so much fun! Congratulations again Corey and Heather! I wish you so much luck with your new home, marriage, and life together as Mr. and Mrs. Byers!
