Danielle and Allan had a beautiful Green Meadows Farm wedding this August. It was truly an emotionally charged day, but in the best way possible! I met Danielle when I was still working full-time and building my business so I was honored when she asked me to photograph her wedding day!! After I met Allan, I knew she had met the perfect guy for her. The two met while working at Target years ago and after a beach proposal, they began planning their wedding day. Together, they are some of the absolutely freaking sweetest people I’ve ever met. I am SO lucky to know them and have been a part of their romantic wedding day!!
With a color palette of purples, greens, and navy blue, Danielle and Allan’s wedding day was a gorgeous fit for Green Meadows Farm. From the minute I walked into the getting ready space, I knew it was going to be a special day! Danielle got ready with her bridesmaids – they had beautiful lavender gowns in different styles. She wore a strapless gown with a gorgeous lace overlay and when she read the private vows Allan wrote to her in a letter that morning, the first tears of the day were shed!! Danielle also wrote her private vows to Allan earlier in the day. I LOVE that idea!! What a special way to share something special with each other.
Once Danielle was ready, it was time for their first look. And Allan was NOT prepared for how gorgeous she looked! He definitely cried and it was the sweetest thing in the whole world. I am living for these emotional grooms. It’s such a beautiful moment!!!! One of the reasons I love first looks it is that it allows me to spend some portrait time with the couple before their ceremony – and usually means they can get to their cocktail hour. And, they definitely wanted to go to theirs! The petting zoo at Green Meadows Farm was open during their cocktail hour. YES! How fun is that?!
And can we talk about their reception?! The barn reception space was absolutely stunning. Danielle is an amazing calligrapher and made all of the signs you’ll see from their reception. Incredible! They truly transformed the space with ivory and green decor – I loved their sweetheart table so much. There’s just something gorgeous about draped greenery! Danielle and Allan also hired Get Hitched Mobile Bar, which was a fun addition to their cocktail hour and reception. Since it’s a converted horse trailer, it was perfect for their farm wedding!
We had a beautiful sunset the night Danielle and Allan were married, so you know I brought them back outside for some extra portraits! It was totally worth it!! I absolutely adore those sun-drenched portraits of the two of them so in love. Congratulations Danielle and Allan! Your wedding day was simply stunning!!!
