Jen and Joe, your wedding was emotional, beautiful, and completely about you. Thank you for letting me be a part of this incredible Springfield Manor wedding day with you both! Jen and Joe met because Jen’s brother was good friends with Joe and after a few years, they started to realize they were meant for each other. After Joe proposed in Longwood Gardens in front of their friends and family, the two began planning their gorgeous summer Springfield Manor wedding day. It’s so clear these two are meant to be together and I loved celebrating their special day with them!
Jen and Joe’s wedding day was beautiful and filled with so many amazing details! They opted for a color palette full of dusty blue, ivory, gold, and some pops of green to tie it all together. I loved that Jen’s bridesmaids all had different color gowns – such a fun trend! Although Jen’s dad passed away before she and Joe were engaged, she made sure to honor his memory throughout the day. On her bouquet, she carried a tag with an inscription from him – what a way to have him there!! Talk about an emotional day! Even Jen and Joe’s first look was extra emotional! I think it’s always exciting to see how grooms will react and Joe’s was one for the books. He was just breathless when he saw Jen – so romantic!!!!
Springfield Manor has a beautiful outdoor space for ceremonies, and Jen and Joe made it their own! Walked down the aisle by her brother, Jen met Joe under the arch way to say “I do” before I stole them away for a few portraits! Since we had such a beautiful day, I snuck them out of the reception for some sunset portraits too! They really had the most beautiful day for a wedding!!! Back in at the reception, guests were enjoying the Pittsburgh cookie table and the delicious cocktail inspired cupcakes Joe’s sister (who happens to be an amazing pastry chef) made. Outside, they could enjoy a fun Photo Booth and Jen’s mom surprised her with a Bruster’s Ice Cream Truck. The truck was another nod to her dad, it was his favorite kind of ice cream!
The one thing that stands out to me the most about Jen and Joe’s wedding day was the amount of love that their two families have for each other. It was obvious throughout the entire day that they really are joining both families into a new one as they start down their path of married life. During the reception, Jen and Joe planned a family dance – Jen and her mother danced before she danced with Joe’s dad and Jen’s mother danced with Joe. It’s truly amazing how special moments like these can be. Jen and Joe ended the night with some special dancing with their siblings and a sparkler exit before jetsetting off to Barbados for their honeymoon!
Congratulations to you two! Thank you for letting me capture your beautiful day. Your families are truly something special and I know that they will support you in this incredible journey you’re headed on!
